I love to scour a good car boot sale as much as every trader, but I’m afraid to say that I’m very much a ‘fair-weather, rummaging in the day light’ type car-booter. However, last weekend Tallulah, the Duck and I set off bright and early for two car boot sales. We were also accompanied by Mr Jones, who came on the promise of a bacon buttie and in exchange for being my pack horse! As it turned out, Mr Jones made the first purchase, and the second, and several afterwards, due to all the exciting tools up for grabs!
For my part, this leather suitcase was my most interesting find. It is in great condition, apart from the top looking like it’s been used as a seat, and it is very heavy. The labels and identity marks are also interesting. It would make a fantastic decorators piece, full of history and mystery.
