This is an interesting campaign chair, c19thC. With the right knack it folds down really easily as would be required of it out in the field! It has its original canvas seat and back.
It definitely has some age, possibly late Victorian or later, but I don’t know whether its seen any actual action. Although it does have a mark (possibly a burn) to one of the back uprights (see photos).
It might feel wobbly before you sit in it, however once you sit in the chair all the joints tighten and it feels sturdy.
A fantastic occasional chair for indoors or the garden.
